How to Curate the Life You Want: A Powerful Shift in Conscious Creation
Nothing Is Created or Destroyed,
Everything Already Exists.
We Can Create Nothing.
Last week, I shared Neville Goddard’s Revisioning practice — a tool that truly expanded my understanding of how much influence we have over our inner world. Since then, I’ve been reading his book The Power of Awareness, and the insights that have landed… wow. It feels like pieces clicking into place that I didn’t even know were loose.
A big part of my work has been about sharing ways to consciously shape the life you want to live. For a long time I bounced between words like manifesting and creating, wanting to make these concepts more accessible for anyone who might feel hesitant around spiritual language. (And trust me… I used to be one of those people.)
But through this book, something shifted. I now see that we’re not creating our life so much as we are curating it.
And today, I want to share a powerful first step you can take to begin curating the life you want — starting right now.
The Sentence That Changed Everything
There’s one line at the end of a chapter on Free Will that made my entire perspective shift:
“You can create nothing, but your assumption determines what portion of creation you will experience.” — Neville Goddard
As soon as I read it, I heard Bob Proctor’s voice echoing in my mind:
“Nothing is created or destroyed. Everything already exists in one form or another.”
Think about the invention of the airplane. The ability to fly didn’t suddenly come into existence — it was always here. The Wright brothers simply learned how to bring what already existed on the invisible plane into physical form.
That idea changes everything.
Your Desired Reality Already Exists
If consciousness is one — whole, complete, unified — and we are each unique expressions of that consciousness, then nothing is truly missing.
Your dreams, your desires, the results you crave…
If you can imagine it, it already exists on some level of consciousness.
You don’t need to create it.
You simply need to align with it.
Just like tuning a radio:
If you’re on the rock station but want country music, you don’t force rock to become country — you just adjust the dial until you land on the frequency you want. If you hit some static along the way, it doesn’t mean the music disappeared. It’s still there. You’re still getting closer.
Life works the very same way.
Your Brain Is Designed to Curate Your Reality
Here’s where the science beautifully meets the spiritual.
At the base of your brainstem is a network of neurons called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). This system filters all sensory data — everything you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel — and brings into your awareness only what is aligned with what you deem important.
Your subconscious mind processes up to 11 million bits of information per second.
Your conscious mind can only handle about 40.
So your RAS is constantly selecting, choosing, and curating what reaches your awareness based on your focus, beliefs, and assumptions.
That’s why you suddenly see the car you’re shopping for everywhere.
It didn’t appear out of nowhere.
Your RAS simply started spotlighting it.
Your brain will never make you a liar — it will always reflect back what you believe is true.
So How Do You Use This to Curate Your Desired Life?
Start here:
Decide what you want to see.
Your attention is the instruction manual for your RAS.
I have a framed Abraham Hicks quote in my home that says:
“Today it is my dominant intent to see only those things I want to see.”
You can choose the same.
Close your eyes.
Imagine the results you want.
Tune into the details — what you would see, hear, feel.
Once you do that, your RAS begins scanning your world for the pieces that match that frequency. Maybe you start noticing people living the way you want to live. Maybe new opportunities appear — collaborations, clients, ideas, invitations. Maybe you feel drawn to books, courses, or environments that support the version of you who already has what you want.
The external world may not change immediately…
but what you notice within it absolutely will.
And that’s what curates your experience.
A Gentle Warning — and a Powerful Reframe
When your desired results start showing up around you, your first reaction may be jealousy or envy.
Envy says:
“They have it, so I can’t.”
But the truth is:
If you can see it, you’re already closer than you think.
Someone else’s success is just proof that your RAS is now tuned to the right frequency — evidence that your desire already exists within consciousness, and that you’re aligning with it.
Let it encourage you, not discourage you.
Your Life Begins to Shift in Days
If you give your RAS a clear instruction —
“If this is what I desire, show me more of it” —
you’ll start noticing changes within a few days.
Sometimes immediately.
Sometimes subtly.
Always in perfect timing.
And eventually, what you consistently notice becomes what you naturally experience.
That’s how you curate your life.
